It was the best weekend ever.
Philam turned 26, and I gave him a vinyl copy of the soundtrack to Mel Brooks' History of the World pt. 1
Leela and I went to the wine bar, and faked sophistication for a good 4 hours, caught up and drank delicious wine and ate delishioushh tapas.
I created a Sim for myself on Sims 3 and made Peter and I fall in love, get married and have baby in 3 days,
There was a rad dancefest Saturday night for Philams birthday, as well.

And I got vintage Bob Marley & the Wailers vinyl from my mum for my birthday.
Amazing.

Did I mention my hair is now as dark and deep as the night sky?

It's-a go time. I have like three papers to write. Good times.
I'm also going to Edmonton this weekend, for a tattoo consultation at Ink Machine.

I do not have enough money to live for the next three months.

Tomorrow is my birthday.
And I am so excited. Peter got me a record player for my birthday!!!
So I got to play the CVG vinyl that he bought me at the concert!!!

Amazing.

I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow, and think about the fact that about twenty years ago, my mom went to hell and back and had me.
Errrm. Well, that's slightly creepy. Maybe I won't think about that.

I also have my first fibre critique tomorrow.. Which may or may not be painful. I think it is very likely going to be painful.
We'll see.

Been chilling to Air a lot lately, saw where the wild things are and cried, then bought the soundtrack (which is by Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs)

I SAW PARANORMAL ACTIVITY AND CRIED BECAUSE I WAS SO SCARED.
Ho crap. I hated it so much. But if you're into demonic activity and want to see quite possibly the scariest movie made since the excorsist, then be my friggin guest. But I was so NOT into it. I am still sleeping with the lights on, and it has been a week.

I have my first EVER midterm this Thursday.

I'm in photography class waiting for a meeting with my teacher.. I'm too nervous to want to go. I'm supposed to photoshopping my photos but I'm really not.

After reading Jaws's blawgg I missed him too. HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS, I LOVE THEE STILL! Sorry. Just suffering from a slight bout of nostalgia. I got a roomate whom I love, her name is Melissa. We're carbon-copies of each other, except she wears moccasins and I don't. We do homework together.

so! HEY D00DZ.
SO, I still need to post my picture of what we did on here.
But basically what we did for orientation was build a giant sculpture out of rolled up newspaper. And this thing was like.. 3-4 meters tall! It was epic. until it started collapsing.

And now, I'm in Fibre 2D every monday, Humanities every Tuesday afternoon, Drawing on Wednesdays, Art History thursday mornings, and Photography fridays.

Busy Busy!

It's stressful, i forgot how much homework there is in school. Yikes. But at least I can manage it all.

I have officially registered fo school!!!! I'm nervous. It's $5600/semester! And I need to live!
Yowza. We shall see how this plays out. Because I, Katherine Thomas am going to school in LESS THAN A MONTH!

At any rate, I made some new friends (one is a friend of a friend, actually..) while doing some Katimavik recruiting. Wheeee. Nic and Patrick. Two ver ver cool d00dz. I have never been to the Cariwest Festival here, and I just got to see it for the first time on Saturday. Boy, it was just fantastic. Shweeeeet!

So, I'm moving to Calgary on the 30th. J-joy j-joy.

So! Peter Peter and I went on our fabulous trip to penticton and all this wonderful stuff happened.
Way too much stuff to ever write on this blog, but I'll give you a break down.

Day 1 (Wednesday)

We drove to Banff. And got lost bazillions of times.

Day 2 (Thursday)

We woke up at 6 am, for reasons unbeknownst to us, and Peter agreed to let me drive to Lake Louise.
But the road to Lake Louise was messed up, and I ended up driving to Golden instead. For 2 hoursss!!!
After that, we drove to Kelowna, and then Penticton, where we had a dinner at a Pirate Restaurant.
Got a campsite in Summerland, drank a bottle of BC wine on a pier.

Day 3 (Friday)

Woke up, went on wine tour, had an awesome picnic on a bench overlooking the Okanagan, and then came back to the campsite,
played Crazy 8's, drank beer and ate cotton candy.

Day 4 (Saturday)

Woke up, packed up camp site, had brekkie, drove to Jasper.
Got to Kamloops, and something ridiculous happened to P's bank account.
We decided to go home that night. Well, he did.
We hit up my favorite lake in Jasper before we went home though. Which was nice.

And now, it's tuesday. Peter, Devon and Rudy are all going to Virgin Fest without me this weekend. I'm working the Cariwest festival, and volunteering for Katimavik as an alumnus. Whee! Fifty Dollars!

So this upcoming Wednesday is quite a interesting/landmark/sad day. I'm moving out of 9531. I wrote Jeff and Anelia a letter this evening for lack of anything better to do (I had to do it sometime soon anyhow, and every one was busy tonight..) and cried. I'm going to miss those two very much. Since no one is here tonight, it makes everything exponentially sadder.

Argh.

I'm sad, nervous and sad regarding the prospect of leaving edmonton. Everyone is telling me how I SHOULD feel. But in reality, I feel a couple of things. Hope, Fear, Sadness, Anxiety, Excitement, Depression to name a handful. A wide range, if I do say so .

I'm going to be living with Pita Pita for the remainder of July, and half of Augusto. His parentals agreed. Hooray!

We're also going on a 5-day vacation to the Okanagan at the end of this month. Something to look forward to, if I do say so myself.

In the meantime, I'll just be working my final shifts at Coles in Ed Center and feeling quite unexplainable.

so today I did something i can honestly say I have never done before.

I decided that since today was my day off, that I was going to bus to my mothers, and pick up my bicycle and ride it home to my house.
So, I got there after an hour of commuting, only to discover that my little brother had up and done away with it. It was a gorgeous vintage bicycle that my neighbor had given to me. I was ver ver pissed. To add insult to injury, he had been using my elephant tea set while I was away from home. I was so mad that I went into his room, and busted all of his bongs. Because I hate the fact that he smokes pot, and I needed revenge. I was contemplating not getting revenge and being really mature about it, but no.. So, I took his bongs and busted them.

All.

It didn't feel good though, because he might yell at my mom. And she doesn't deserve that.

I'm also feeling lonely. And I am not sure why.

And the ref didn't care if I had cheek piercings. Huzzah!
